Qualifications
I am an experienced and proven Meridian Township Treasurer. I was elected to the Meridian Township Board of Trustees in 2016 and in 2018 I was appointed by the Board to serve as Township Treasurer. In 2020, I was elected to a four-year term as Treasurer.
As Treasurer, I have worked to improve access and transparency to make it easier for residents to pay their taxes, understand where their tax dollars go, and receive services from the Township.
Since being sworn in as Meridian Treasurer, I have earned these credentials to enhance my service as Treasurer:
- Michigan Certified Professional Treasurer (MiCPT) accreditation in 2019.
- Certified Public Finance Administrator (CPFA) in 2019.
- Certified in Township Governance by the Michigan Townships Assn. (TGA) in 2023.
I have helped to keep Meridian Township one of the most financially sound communities in Michigan with excellent reserve funds that are invested in the safest securities.
